Yushi Tsubamoto Receives the FY2026 JNNS Excellent Research Award

Mr. Yushi Tsubamoto, who served as a researcher in the Horii Group until last fiscal year (currently a junior resident at Niigata University Medical & Dental Hospital), has received the FY2026 Excellent Research Award from the Japanese Neural Network Society (JNNS). The award recognizes his presentation at last fiscal year’s IEICE Technical Committee on Neurocomputing (NC) meeting in June 2025.

Presentation title: “Abnormal Precision Control Disrupts Symbol Emergence through Social Communication: A Computational Study of Autism Spectrum Disorder Based on the Collective Predictive Coding Hypothesis” (in Japanese)

Taking the standpoint of the Collective Predictive Coding hypothesis, this study computationally examines how abnormalities in precision control can disrupt symbol emergence through social communication, offering a new perspective on understanding autism spectrum disorder.
