Talk at the 46th Annual Conference of the Japanese Association for Semiotic Studies

I will be a panelist in the organized session “Semiotics of Life and Purpose” (chair: Hitoshi Sako, Tokyo Transportation Junior College) at the 46th Annual Conference of the Japanese Association for Semiotic Studies — “Frontiers of Peircean Semiotics”, held on July 11–12, 2026 at the Kudan Campus of Nishogakusha University, Tokyo.

The session features topic contributions by Norihiko Kamaya (Hokkaido University) and Takato Horii, exploring “life” and “purpose” from a semiotic perspective across biosemiotics, life studies, and cognitive science / robotics.
